Key Takeaways
- Escape to the code - I never realized this before, but when the "focus" on of your computer is on a part of WebStorm other than the main code window (for example, you click somewhere on the project explorer pane or a different window) and you click the "esc" key in the top left corner of your keyboard it will bring the focus back to the main code window with your cursor in the same spot that you left it. Pretty nifty.
- TODO window - This is a pretty cool feature that I didn't know existed. If you go to View -> Tool Windows it will pop up a pane that nicely shows you where in your project there are TODO comments so that you can easily go back to the places that need more work.
- WebStorm extensions - The extendability features get me really excited because it just opens so many doors for more cool stuff. In the course Shawn shows how to add the "gitignore plugin" which gives you a cool icon image and gives you syntax highlighting for your gitignore files. I'd be interested to find a nice extension that will show me a UML diagram for my code...
