It's pretty straightforward to open up the developer console and read the logs in Chrome (Ctrl + Alt + i or View -> Developer -> Developer Tools) and Firefox (Ctrl + Alt + i or Tools -> Web Developer -> Toggle Tools). It's somewhat less well known that there is also a similar set of developer tools available in Safari.
Enabling Developer Mode in Safari
For some reason, Apple really likes to hide the button for enabling developer mode. To get to this screen shown below look in the top bar for Safari -> Preferences. Then in the Advanced tab all the way at the bottom there's a checkbox labeled "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
After checking this box, you can open up a developer tools window (Ctrl + Alt + i or View -> Developer -> Developer Tools).
This can be pretty useful, especially if you find yourself fighting bugs that only seem to appear in Safari! ;)
