Notable People / Blogs

This is the area with links to other blogs, tutorials, and partner sites that help make this one possible. I’d like to thank all of the countless authors, teachers, coworkers, and friends who have taught me things along the way and continue to do so even today. I you believe I have forgotten about you here or you would like to be added to the list feel free to reach out to me.

Jackson Dunstan / jacksondunston.com

Picture
Jackson is a fellow actionscript 3 developer and C# programmer. Although he seems to be more into Unity these days, he does still make posts relating to as3.

Devon Wolfgang / One by One Design

Flash Daily

Picture
Flash Daily is not so much a personal blog of a flash developer. It is more like a news site about all things adobe, flash, and actionscript.

Craig Campbell / School of Flash

Picture
This is another site with useful flash tutorials that focus mostly on the flash pro IDE, tweening, and simple actionscript. Although he hasn't made a post since 2011, there are some timeless gems in his posts that can still be useful today.

Ville Koskela / villekoskela.org

Picture
Ville Koskela is a very talented developer who has worked on a lot of high profile games. He was on the development team that made Habbo Hotel (in flash) and the facebook version of the angry birds game (starling). He currently still works at Rovio, and makes occasional actionscript / starling posts.

Kelly Starret / Mobility WOD

Picture
This blog is very different from the others. Kelly Starret is not a developer, and he doesn't post about software or computer programming. He oozes knowledge about weight training, optimal human movement & positioning, and progressing safely towards peak athletic performance.

Fernando Bevilacqua / As3 Game Gears

Picture
This site is another developer's blog. Fernando is a professor in Brazil, and instead of using the blog as a showcase for his own work, he uses it to distribute what he calls "game gears", or small libraries to use in games so you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
